How to optimize home network setup with ubiquiti equipment

Hello everyone

I want to know how to use ubiquiti equipment to optimize my home network setup. At the moment, I have multiple switches, a unifi dream machine pro, and a couple of unifi APs.
I would like to know the best methods for setting up my devices to ensure a stable and strong network because I experience connectivity problems. Are there any particular updated firmware and settings I should be aware of?
